Re: Wormwood Peru? What d'ya think?
There have been reports of similar incidents in Peru over the years. The other incidents were all said not to be related to meteor. I have a feeling the same thing may occur in this incident.
Whether it is man made or something that may be happening in the environment still remains to be seen.
Some reports have all so speculated that a gas is being released. Meteors do not admit a gas on impact. Could be something in the soil that is released on impact.
I hope information gets released and the story just doesn't disappear as these sort of stories often do.

unholy kthulhus, kthento
sounds like something out of your contemporary h p lovecraft's fevered imaginings:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Colour_Out_of_Spa ce
"The Colour Out of Space" is a first-person narrative written from the perspective of an unnamed surveyor from Boston. In order to prepare for the construction of a new reservoir in Massachusetts, he surveys a rural area that is to be flooded near Lovecraft's fictional town of Arkham. He comes across a mysterious patch of land, an abandoned five-acre farmstead, which is completely devoid of all life. At the centre of the farmstead is an old well. The site fills him with an unnatural sense of dread, and he hurries past it.
When he returns to Arkham, the surveyor asks around for information regarding the waste. He learns of an elderly hermit, Ammi Pierce, and asks him about the "blasted heath". The hermit tells him a horrific tale.
In the early 1880s, the farm had been productive, run by a Nahum Gardner and his family. Then, one afternoon in June 1882, a large meteorite crashed into the farm, beside the well. It was metallic and contained a substance of an indescribable colour, that proved toxic. While scientists were never able to tell what (or who) the meteor contained, its effects were undeniable--the entire Gardner family was struck by insanity, illness, and worse as the land around them was slowly drained of life.

warning from von Braun
Q: WHAT WAS HIS DEFINITION OF WHAT WE REALLY ARE IN THE UNIVERSES?
Well, this is what he did not describe. I believe what was happening is that he was under threat.
American "Enemy's List" to Sustain War Mode and Pentagon Budgets
o
Soviet Union
o
Terrorists
o
Asteroids
o
Extraterrestrials
Q: THAT IS WHY HE GAVE YOU AN ENEMY'S LIST THAT WOULD BE PERPETUATED?
That's right. He repeated this continuously. He would say that starting where I entered the industry with the supposed Russian threat, but never actually existed the Russians were made to be the enemy. Then there would be terrorists, Third World country threats. there would be an asteroid threat. They might even say to us to try to influence the public into believing that there are many reasons for why we should put weapons in space. There might be a reason to protect our assets in space.
But, the real one that he was always holding off on and would say again with tears filling his eyes every time he said this to me repeatedly was that the last card they are holding is the 'alien card,' the extraterrestrial card and none of them are hostile. In any way he could say those words, the intonation was always on, 'None of them are hostile. It's all a lie.' So, in other words, all the enemies that have been presented to us along the way it's a lie with always the intention of seizing the high ground to keep the truth from us.

“He said the strategy that was being used to educate the public and decision makers was to use scare tactics That was how we identify an enemy. The strategy that Wernher Von Braun taught me was that first the Russians are going to be considered to be the enemy….Then terrorists would be identified….Then we were going to identify third-world country “crazies.” We now call them Nations of Concern. But he said that would be the third enemy against whom we would build space-based weapons. The next enemy was asteroids. Now, at this point he kind of chuckled the first time he said it.
Asteroids- against asteroids we are going to build space-based weapons.

Here's a later report. It still does not explain why there's all the problems with gas and whatnot. Even if it gave off some ammonia and sulphur dioxide, it still would have to do so in considerable volume to achieve the concentration necessary to make hundreds of people sick, especially since most of them were in a village some distance away. It would be nice if a more detailed report were offered to the press.

Note the reference to "boiling water" in the crater. That's rather odd. Usually, even though the external surfaces of meteorites are heated from atmospheric friction on entry, because the interior of the meteorite is outer space temperature cold, it usually (if found right away) forms frost on the outside almost immediately after coming to rest. I'm wondering if the "boiling" business is gas release, which would support it perhaps being a cometary fragment. Otherwise, the content of the reports seems anomalous.

September 19, 2007
Russian Military Intelligence Analysts are reporting today that one of the United States most secretive spy satellites, the KH-13, targeting Iran was ‘destroyed in its orbit’ with its main power generator powered by the radioactive isotope Pu-238 surviving re-entry and crashing in a remote region of the South American Nation of Peru, and where hundreds are reported to be ill from radiation poisoning.
Western media reports are stating that the US spy satellite debris hitting
Peru was caused by a meteor, but which, according to these reports, would be ‘impossible’ as the size of 30-meter crater, if caused by a meteorite, would have hit the ground with about as much energy as 1 kiloton tactical nuclear weapon, and which would have been recorded by the seismic stations around the World.
Most astonishing about these reports, however, are that they state that it was the Americans themselves who destroyed their own spy satellite with the attack upon it being made by the United States Air Forces’ 30th Space Wing located at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
This incident further fuels the intrigue involving the United States War Leaders plans to attack Iran in their attempt to engulf the entire Middle East in Total War, but, against which, according to Russian Military Intelligence Analysts, a ‘high ranking and significant’ faction of the American Military Establishment is opposed to.
This can be further evidenced by this past few weeks unprecedented announcement by the United States Air Force that 6 nuclear armed cruise missiles were removed, without authorization, from their secure holding facility, located in North Dakota at the Minot Air Force Base, and flown to Barksdale Air Force Base, located in Louisiana, where they were left ‘unattended’ for ‘nearly 10 hours’.
It is interesting to note, too, that Barksdale Air Force Base is where the United States President was ‘ordered’ to report to on September 11, 2001 by the United States Air Force Strategic Command prior to his being ‘transferred’ under ‘armed escort’ to Offutt Air Force Base Strategic Command Center near Omaha, Nebraska, where the first ‘truce’ between Americas War Leaders and its Military Forces was ‘negotiated’ by billionaire Warren Buffett as intermediary between the rival power blocs.
Though the rival American power blocs do seem to have maintained their uneasy truce, and which have, to date, prevented further attacks within the United States itself, these latest events, according to these reports, appear to show that this truce is now breaking down over threats and planning by the American War Leaders to attack Iran, and which Russia has warned would be ‘catastrophic’.
What remains unknown to us, at this time, is what counter-planning the American War Leaders have in store for furthering their war aims against Iran as the United States Military have ‘clearly signaled’ that it will not allow nuclear weapons to be used, even to the extent of denying to their War Leaders one of their most prized spy satellites used to guide their nuclear cruise missiles to their intended Iranian targets.
As the American peoples desire for war appears to be exhausted, and with new polls showing their President and Congress’ approval ratings at ‘record lows’, these reports paint a frightening picture of an American War Leadership determined to engulf the entire World in Total War in order to perpetuate their hegemony.
Not since last century’s German Nazi and Japanese Empire’s has the World seen such naked aggression towards the capture of the Earth’s resources, and which caused the deaths of nearly 100 million people, but which the United States and its Western Allies now seem determined to see through to its brutal, and bloody end.

at least 600 people have been affected by the meteorite.
According to Peru's La Republica newspaper, due to the high number of
illnesses, district authorities are considering placing the town of
Carancas, Puno, Peru in a state of emergency. It has been reported that
at least 600 people have been affected by the meteorite.
Puno, Peru's Regional Health Director, Jorge López Tejada, reported
yesterday that at least 150 people had been seen after having stated
they had dermal injuries, were dizzy, nauseous or vomiting.
According to the townspeople, the illnesses began after the meteorite
crashed and they began to touch the glowing rock believing it had some
type of monetary value. Aside from the hundreds of townspeople that were
affected, Tejada reported that 8 police officers had to be hospitalized
after having taken samples of the meteorite.
Blood samples are being taken and there are several teams of specialists
in the area.
Scientists confirmed yesterday that the meteorite that caused a 17 meter
(55 foot) wide and 5 meter (16 foot) deep crater in Puno, Peru was a
chondrite meteorite. The water in the crater is to be drained and
several teams of scientists from different countries will take samples
from the crater itself and from surrounding areas.

Of all the theories, I'm thinking here that Sarcha Faal might be on to something. The radiation sickness, if it is radiation, fits into her version of what happened pretty tight. Somehow a meteorite doesn't jive with making people sick. It survived the atmosphere, you'd think the bacteria would have been burned up. Sulphur - well, who knows.
In other words, a satellite being being blown to smithereens wouldn't surprise me a bit. It's scary to think about just how much plutonium is on all the hundreds of satellites are up there. Whoa.

I like the theory a lot, but if there was a nuclear missle fired into space to destroy a satelite, there logically would not be anything left of the satelite to hit earth, and someone would have seen the explosion in the sky.
I will say though, this is a very likely case of Nostradamas' prediction of mabus. The comet has passed, and sickness has fallen. Its the ebst thing we have to go on as of yet.
If this is the comet he spoke of (there could always be another yes?), then Mabus is soon to die, and when the third anti-christ falls, hell on earth.
