RE: Jeff Gannon loves WorldNetDaily! WorldNetDaily and Freepers rail on faux "outing" of Repugs Monday, February 21, 2005 (via AmericaBlog). Right wing rag WorldNetDaily has an article out, Homosexual press hot to 'out' Bush figures. It's a pretty straightforward recount of the basic Propagannon facts to date, with the spin, of course, that it's all about these poor closeted GOoPers being outed somehow. "Outing" of reputedly closeted homosexuals, particularly those associated with the Republican Party or conservative politics, has become a favorite pastime of homosexual activists in recent years. Similarly, the "outing" of famous historical figures, from Abe Lincoln to Alexander the Great – whether or not the allegation of homosexuality is actually true – is a key activist tactic. The unsubstantiated report in Raw Story has been picked up by numerous homosexual publications – online and off. McClellan has not commented on the reports now swirling around the Internet and in offline homosexual papers. Boo-hoo-hoo, I'm playing the world's tiniest fiddle for them. "Jeff Gannon", we all remember, has pictures of himself buck naked up on the internet, selling his time as a rent boy. That hardly qualifies as "private" activity, let alone legal activity. As regular readers of the Blend know, part of my job here is to bring you commentary from the peanut gallery of insanity known as Freeperland, home of the knuckle-dragging right wing. [They are so far over the edge that even wingnut Sean Hannity has abandoned them.] Here are some choice responses to the WND article. |

RE: Jeff Gannon loves WorldNetDaily! If you haven't heard of Jeff Gannon, he's the male prostitute the White House had pose as a reporter to lob softball questions at Bush and his press secretary. He also checked into the White House 39 times when there were no press briefings, and at least 14 times when he didn't check out, most likely, to hide the fact that he slept over (the secret service isn't normally slack about keeping track of people. |

RE: Jeff Gannon loves WorldNetDaily! WorldNetDaily: Your Center for Gay Republican Rumors Joseph Farah, the CEO and editor-in-chief at WorldNetDaily, alerts us to the gay press's plot to defame members of the Bush administration by saying that they're gay. Disclosures that an alleged homosexual escort working for a pro-Republican website was granted access to the White House press room has led to efforts in the nation's homosexual press to "out" top-ranking Bush administration officials and GOP leaders based on uncorroborated, undocumented and unnamed sources. In the last week, reports in New York's Gay City News and 365Gay.com and other homosexual-friendly publications and blogs have made specific allegations about individuals based exclusively on unnamed sources and rumors Joe seems very aware of what's going on at the all the homosexual-friendly publications and blogs -- not that there's anything wrong with that, of course! and playing off the sensational revelations about Jeff Gannon – by daylight a credentialed "reporter" covering the White House for two politically partisan websites, while allegedly moonlighting as a $200-an-hour male escort and purveyor of explicit websites like HotMilitaryStud.com and MilitaryEscorts.com. Those sites have since been removed from the Internet. Since when? The central target of the reports in the homosexual press is White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan, a figure who regularly called on Gannon at press conferences. Most of the reports recycle one last week by Raw Story, published by John Byrne, 24, who claims to have worked as a local reporter for the Boston Globe and as a Washington bureau reporter for the McClatchy newspapers, and seems to specialize in "outing" Republican politicians. In a report based on an unnamed source, Raw Story reported McClellan visited a homosexual bar March 19, 1995. Another anonymous source was quoted as saying McClellan regularly frequented Austin, Texas, "gay clubs." Remember, you heard all that from WorldNetDaily. Homosexual activist Wayne Besen, author of "Anything But Straight: Unmasking the Scandals and Lies Behind the Ex-Gay Myth," writing in Virginia's Falls Church News-Press, goes even further than Raw Story. Joe sure knows of a lot of obscure gay news sources . . . "The vulgar scandal (involving Gannon) has revived Washington whispers that the supposedly anti-gay Republican Party is really nothing less than a gay affirmative action program," he writes. "Glance at whose (sic) running the GOP and it looks like a Harvey Fierstein cocktail party. A few months ago, activist Mike Rogers of RawStoryQ.com revealed that GOP National Field Director Dan Gurley is gay and sought unsafe sex online. Rogers also revealed that Ken Mehlman, chair of the Republican National Committee, is gay." Wow, I hadn't heard any of these very interesting allegations. Thanks for pointing them out, Joe. Besen concluded his column: "The Bush administration is the gayest in memory, although they are all quivering in the closet, or is that gyrating on the Internet?" According to Raw Story's Byrne, Gurley acknowledged in a phone interview last September that he is "gay." In response to a later story by Byrne last November, that Gurley "solicited unprotected sex and multiple sex partners in an online profile at Gay.com," Gurley reportedly conceded that he had a profile in his America Online screenname – that same screenname as appeared in the Gay.com profile. Attempts by WorldNetDaily to reach McClellan, Mehlman and Gurley for comment have so far proven unsuccessful. Yes, I can just imagine. "Mr. McClellan, it's that Farah guy from WorldNetDaily -- you know, the online Christian wingnut news source that carries stories about Nephilim and demonic UFOs, and features columns by that home-schooled teen and Jerry Falwell. Anyway, he wants to get your comments on the rumors that Ken Mehlman is gay, Dan Gurley is gay, and that you hang out in gay clubs with gays. Do you want to take his call?" Meanwhile, last night, CBS News attempted to connect Karl Rove to Guckert. In an online report by Dotty Lynch, senior political editor for CBS News, about Rove, she speculated about a link. Joe, I'm sure Karl appreciates your effort to alert your readers to the fact that a little-read online report tried to link him with a gay prostitute, and that you lumped him in with a GOP official who reportedly solicted unprotected sex and multiple partners. Gannon is now considering suing the bloggers, "liberal interest groups" and others for the "political assassination" that drove him from his reporting job, he tells Newsweek in its current edition. Yeah, Gannon says a lot of stuff. Like he wrote on his USMCPT page, he's "aggresive, verbal, and dominant." Well, a "DOMINANT TOP." I'm sure that it all means that those bloggers and liberal groups are going to get taught a lesson they'll never forget, for Jeff doesn't leave marks .... only impressions. If you'd like to sound off on this issue, please take part in the WorldNetDaily poll. Yes, please do take part. Here are the big winners so far: What do you think about allegations of homosexuality in Bush administration? Why is it that homosexuality only matters in one political party? 22.62% (102) It's a dirty smear by political opponents 20.40% (92) I thought we weren't supposed to care what people do in their bedrooms 17.74% (80) Republicans have opened themselves to this with careless appointments 11.09% (50) And if you retain only one thing from this article, it should be that WorldNetDaily says that McClellan, Mehlman, Gurley, and Rove are gay, gay, gay, and that they used the services of a $200 an hour male prostitute. Not that the Republican Party says there's anything wrong with that! UPDATE: It's a couple of hours later, and the answer I selected in the poll, "There are homosexuals everywhere – who cares?" is now number four. The top three remain the same. "The Bush administration is rife with perversion" is now number six. |

RE: Jeff Gannon loves WorldNetDaily! Conservative Press in Tizzy over Outings Conservative Internet site Worldnet Daily today carped about gay activists' role in the scandal of the pseudo-reporter with the pseudonym, Jim Guckert (aka Jeff Gannon). They also whined about the recent avalanche of outings of leading figures in the supposedly conservative GOP. Worldnet's Joseph Farah conveniently forgot to mention that bloggers such as Mike Rogers and John Byrne have previously outed major, homophobic GOP leaders, such as Reps. Ed Schrock, R-Va., and David Drier, R-Calif., and these scandals have so-far withstood scrutiny. Why should we doubt their word on other right wing figures? Worldnet Daily certainly failed to give us a reason to doubt the latest outings. The larger story not mentioned by Worldnet Daily is the elitism of a Washington GOP that secretly embraces well-connected homosexuals, while publicly bashing less-connected gays in the hinterlands. As more GOP leaders get outed, it appears that publicly denouncing gay people is only a cynical political tactic, not a heart-felt belief by many party leaders. The truth be told, cultural conservatives such as James Dobson, Pat Robertson, Lou Sheldon and Jerry Falwell are getting used by the GOP for votes and money. While these preachers pray and prey on gay people, their increasingly amoral party leaders - gay and straight - only worship power. They will use gay bashing as a tactic to win. They will also string along conservative leaders, without offering them substance. It would all be very funny if so many people were not being hurt by an unnecessary cultural war that only benefits those in power. Meanwhile, Gannon tells Newsweek he is now thinking of suing the bloggers, "liberal interest groups" and others for the "political assassination" that drove him from his White House gig at Talon News. Aside from Gannon not understanding free speech, such a trial would be delicious. Put aside the graphic court-graphics of his reported secret Internet lifestyle. Forget the titillating, tawdry tales that might come from such an event, including the bizarre, shadowy, "conservative" characters slithering in and out of the courtroom. The main event would be hauling into court major GOP officials to finally get to the bottom of who sanctioned this circus act to get White House press passes. For all the bravado from Gannon/Guckert/Whoever the hell he really is - we have yet to hear an honest account of who is responsible for letting him in the White House briefing room. Who is his connection? How do they know each other? Exactly what is their relationship? Let us hope we get such answers. It would help if conservative media outlets like Worldnet Daily would spend as much time finding answers to such pertinent questions as focusing on gay activists. After all, it is their conservative base that is getting hosed by this administration. |

RE: Jeff Gannon loves WorldNetDaily! Wednesday, July 29, 2009 The Johnny Goech Mystery and Jeff Gannon AT 2:30 AM one morning in 1997, Johnny showed up at Noreen Gosch's apartment. The young man had been abducted in 1982. He was accompanied by another male who seemed to be deciding what Johnny could say to his mother. . She recognized him in part by a birthmark. He told her not to pursue the matter and not to talk about the visit. She remained silent for two years. In 2003, a young man appeared in Washington, whom some thought was Johnny Gosch. At least the fellow had the same initials and was the right age. Jeff Gannon was the name used by James D. Guckert, a person who had a few web sites advertising himself as a $200 an hour male prostitute. In the sex industry, he was nicknamed "Bulldog." In 2000, Sean Hannity was praising him as a "terrific" Tallon News Washington bureau chief. At that time, he was busy feeding to the press information discrediting documents Dan Rather and CBS News were using about George W. Bush's service in the Texas Air Guard. The documents were forgeries, but Gannon and others were wrong in saying they had been produced by means of a computer word processing program. Colonel Bill Burkett, who gave copies of the documents to CBS, claimed a Hispanic woman discussed them via telephone and that they were delivered by an unidentified man. The woman asked Burkett to burn the originals, and he did so. Gannon was an experienced GOP political operative who helped do in Tom Daschle, and some speculate that he was working with two other experienced tricksters, Roger Stone and his Cuban wife. In 2004, he was invited to the White House Christmas party, a sign of standing in Washington establishment .Many speculated that Jeff Gannon was really Johnny Gosch and noted that a Jeff Gannon was the Des Moines World Telegram editor who ridiculed the claim that Gannon was abducted. Noreen Gosh has said identifying Gannon has her son is "quite bizarre" but not impossible. It could be argued that if he were her son, she might fear that identifying him would endanger his life. It is known that Guckert graduated from Conneaut Lake High School 1975 and then West Chester University in 1980. Ted Gunderfson, a retired ranking FBI retiree said he had solid information from an unnamed source that Gannon was Gosch. Guckert was probably 48 years old while Gosch would have been 36. Still Ted Gunderson, former FBI agent-in-charge for Los Angeles insists that the CIA can change appearances and ages. Jim Rothstein, a retired New York City detective who has long specialized in child abductions, agrees with Gunderson. Before Gannon had White House press credentials, he was attending White House briefings. Though he had no training in journalism, he was soon representing two tiny Right-wing news services and was to attend White House briefings for almost two years. He was known for giving the press secretary and the president softball questions. His questions often included false information about Democrats. He attended 155 of 196 press briefings over almost two years/ He was in the White House two dozen times when there was no briefing. Fourteen times he entered but did not check out, which led some to say he stayed overnight. Twice he entered without signing in March, 2003, before he was a journalist. He also bragged about having seen secret documents that revealed that Valerie Plame was a covert CIA operative. There was abundant evidence that male prostitute/journalist Jeff Gannon busily distributed information about her deep cover role. Yet only Skolnick had much to say about it. The Wall Street Journal made note of it but did not pursue the matter. It is claimed that some witnesses said George W. Bush gave Gannon the information on Plame. Gannon also appeared to be linked to the main sex ring scandal of the George W. Bush years. It was called "Hookergate." It operated in the Sheraton, Ritz Carlton and other hotels in Washington and catered to influential Republicans representatives and senators. . However, one Democratic senator may have been involved along with a few liberal journalists. Ranking federal officials, military brass, and media hosts also used the service. It was financed by two San Diego contractors, and, perhaps Jack Abramoff. Flocco added that the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee had a role in operating the sex ring. One reporter claims that Jeff Gannon, introduced one leading Republican journalist as well as a ranking British politician to these sex parties. There was little connection to the Mark Foley scandal except that what seemed to be Abramoff money was channeled to one of the ex-page's families. Another investigative reporter claims that Foley and Jeff Gannon recruited important people, including a leading Republican columnist for the sex ring. The two contractors had the parties mainly for Republicans on the 15 Republicans from the House Appropriations Committee. High-ranking figures from the CIA also attended these parties and have since resigned. Tom Flocco's account of "Hookergate" differs from others in that writes that children were being used. However, there is no evidence that children were used the sex parties held by the two contractors. This must have been still another sex operation, financed by unknown parties. The Hilton was used because it had very secure areras to hide vehicles and move children--sometimes drugged--through hallways without the possibility of video surveillance. After employees became suspicious, the child sex operation was moved. All the evidence suggests these events occurred completely without the knowledge or consent of the hotel management. Some people who are incapable of mature sexual relationships prefer sex with children. But in other cases, it seems to be a mixture of sexual attraction and what has been called "libido dominandi." People who are greatly attracted to accumulating power and wealth find sex with children particularly satisfying because it is easier to exercise complete power over children. To a degree it is a matter of "power tends to corrupt." There is an even more unusual aspect to the Jeff Gannon story involving his possession of remarkable martial arts and military skills and a possible background in intelligence work. But there is simply not enough evidence to pursue these hints. All this is reminiscent of two sex rings in the 1980s that were mostly patronized by Republicans, intelligence people, and foreign dignitaries. The difference is that the sex rings in the 1980s received some mainstream press coverage. The recent scandal received no serious MSM attention. A Plug for Sherm's Book--- Sherm spent seven years writing an analytical chronicle of what the Republicans have been up to since the 1970s. It discusses elements in the Republican coalition, their ideologies, strategies, informational and financial resources, and election shenanigans. Abuses of power by the Reagan and G. W. Bush administration and the Republican Congresses are detailed. The New Republican Coalition : Its Rise and Impact, The Seventies to Present (Publish America) can be acquired by calling 301-695-1707. RE: Jeff Gannon loves WorldNetDaily! W.H. opening guest logs By POLITICO STAFF The White House announced Friday that it would increase public access to electronic visitor logs, citing concerns ... ... about transparency. Here's the White House release: "As another indication of his commitment to an open and transparent government, the President announced today that for the first time in history, records of White House visitors will be released. Each month, records of visitors from the previous 90-120 days will be made available online. 'For the first time in history, records of White House visitors will be made available to the public on an ongoing basis,' said President Obama. 'We will achieve our goal of making this administration the most open and transparent administration in history not only by opening the doors of the White House to more Americans, but by shining a light on the business conducted inside. Americans have a right to know whose voices are being heard in the policymaking process.' "Aside from a small group of appointments that cannot be disclosed because of national security imperatives or their necessarily confidential nature (such as a visit by a possible Supreme Court nominee), the record of every visitor who comes to the White House for an appointment, a tour, or to conduct business will be released. "Previous administrations fought disclosure of White House visitor logs in court. This administration began a review of the policy during its first days in office. |
