Saw a medium sized eviscerated black kitten out behind my hot water heater.

A black momma cat was chowin' down it too.
She bit open it's stomach and guts dismembered the lower half of one of it's hind legs.

I am fairly certain that she killed that kitten to feed on and make milk for the rest of HER kittens. I don't think that was her kitten, to be honest, because her litter, which lives with her, inside the hot water heater enclosure, are much smaller kittens than the one she killed.


Another possibility, is that it was a more mature road kill kitten, that she found and utilized for food.

I was just going to let her eat what she wanted of it, so she could make the milk for her litter, but I couldn't cope with the thought of a dead kitten laying eviscerated and dismembered, behind my studio,
So, I just double bagged the remains and threw in the dumpster, in the next apartment complex over.
